Curator-Led Tour of the Exhibition A Foundation for the Future – The Klovićevi dvori Gallery Collection of Donated Artwork
As part of its wide-ranging activities, the Klovićevi dvori Gallery is responsible for the care of both the collections in its own holdings and those entrusted to it for safekeeping, housing a total of seven collections. One of these is the Collection of Donated Artwork, which preserves and acquires works donated to the Gallery.
The collection comprises more than one hundred diverse works of art by Croatian and international artists from the second half of the 20th century, including Šohaj, Kulmer, Vanka, Ž. Hegedušić, Picelj, Vaništa, Barišić, Hrasta, Senečić, Motika, and many others.
As the Collection of Donated Artwork has never previously been exhibited independently, this exhibition marks the first presentation to the public of a selection of works from a collection that has been growing alongside the Gallery for nearly five decades.
Visitors will be guided through the exhibition by its curator, Danijela Markotić, Head of the Collection of Donated Artwork.
