PaleoTech: Bone and Stone Technology

Workshop

PaleoTech is a demonstration of experimental archaeology that brings visitors closer to prehistoric stone and bone working technologies. Through the making of replicas of tools and jewellery, the presenter demonstrates techniques of flint knapping, bone working, the production of composite tools and the use of natural glues and binders. Visitors can observe the working process, ask questions and explore raw materials, semi-finished products and finished replicas by touch. In an accessible and interactive way, the programme connects archaeological finds with the everyday life of prehistoric communities.

Event format:
To ensure the best experience for everyone, the workshop will be held in three identical sessions, each lasting 1 hour:

  • 4:00 p.m. – 1st presentation
  • 5:00 p.m. – 2nd presentation
  • 6:00 p.m. – 3rd presentation

Choose the time that suits you best, join us and travel thousands of years back in time! See you there!

The workshop is open to all visitors and is completely free of charge.
