The Gvozdanović Palace in the Upper Town was once the gathering place of Club Kvak, a cheerful society for leisure and fun. The club’s mascot was a frog; each member had a unique Kvak name and motto, and Kvak parties were held every Saturday. The beloved owner of the palace, Dragutin Gvozdanović—nicknamed Kvakica—was the club’s favourite member. In our workshop, under the guidance of sculptor Maja Šimunović, we will create a large mascot of Club Kvak!
And since no party—not even a morning one—is complete without balloons, we’ll decorate the palace courtyard with inflatable Kvaks!
The workshop is held as part of the “Art & Breakfast” programme of the Museum of Arts and Crafts. Art & Breakfast is a morning gathering at the Gvozdanović Palace, featuring free breakfast and coffee, along with music in the courtyard (Lucky Lu, DJ Zao, Stankoff). Visitors are welcome to join guided tours through the palace and participate in the creative workshop “The Kvak Crew at the Palace”, led by sculptor Maja Šimunović. Come and start your day in an atmosphere full of art, flavours, and good vibes!
