From archaeological finds and remains of medieval walls to intimate scenes from the everyday life of old Zagreb, as many as 45 thematic sections reveal the layered story of the city’s identity, culture and spirit. A special charm lies in the fact that some archaeological finds are displayed exactly where they were found.
And when you step into the museum courtyard, a real little surprise awaits you: the oldest painted sundial in Zagreb. And yes — it still tells the time. Just like the Museum, which successfully preserves and revives it.
