Gabrijela Šimić and Marijana Županić Benić: The Puppet – Where Myth Meets Reality

Exhibition

In the Kurija Gallery of the Prigorje Museum, the artists Županić Benić and Šimić present the puppet as a distinctive artistic object. While Gabrijela Šimić models puppets in polymer clay imbued with Old Slavic mythology and Prigorje motifs, Marijana Županić Benić focuses on mobile, stage forms and their role in a child’s upbringing. The exhibition explores the puppet as a medium of transformation that transcends classical stage frameworks.
