Extended Festival: Tena & Tena (durational performance)
Tena & Tena is a long-term multimedia art project that explores identity through play with the name Tena and examines the relationship between a person, a product and a place bearing the same name. At the centre of the project is the dramaturge Tena Bošnjaković, surrounded by objects, texts, brands and locations that share her name: oil, flour, semolina, wafers, sanitary pads, a toilet bowl, champagne, literary characters and various geographical places.
The durational performance is part of long-term research through which we open up space for a conversation about Tena. About the name as a personal characteristic, a market label, a social sign and material for performance. The project starts from the question of what happens when a personal name becomes a product name, and how an endless series of objects bearing the same name affects the experience of one’s own identity.
