Novi Zagreb in a Not-So-Flat Way – a walk through Novi Zagreb
Novi Zagreb is the part of Zagreb that most of the city’s inhabitants perceive as exceptionally flat. The whole area of Novi Zagreb is an uninterrupted plain, with only the occasional elevation created by human hand (for example the Sava and railway embankments); the great majority of its main thoroughfares are perfectly straight lines on the city plan, and most of the striking buildings in this part of the city are characterised by the straight lines of the edges of their plans and elevations… But behind this almost uniform “flatness” there are also many unevennesses, physical and otherwise, which this walk will address.
The walk will be led by Vanja Radovanović of the Neighbourhood Mapping association. You can find out more about the association here: https://mapiranjetresnjevke.com/aktivnosti/mapiranje-kvarta/
