In the play ”The Magical Tour of Giulio Clovio”, the concept of a museum tour is reimagined to introduce children to the basics of visual art in a unique, enchanting way—while also acquainting them with the works of world-renowned artists.
At the heart of the performance is its ever-present host: the kind but eccentric spirit of Renaissance painter Giulio Clovio, who doesn’t quite see eye to eye with the actors/curators on the proper rules of behaviour in his home—the Gallery.
Through playful dialogue and musical interludes, young visitors are gently introduced to the fundamentals of visual art, illustrated through some of the most famous works by both Croatian and international artists—masterpieces that have found a home within the very walls of Klovićevi Dvori.
